I use a variety of approaches within my practice. The therapy that’s right for you depends on you as an individual & what you are presenting with.
However, I do incorporate Compassion Focused Therapy with most of my clients. I have found its techniques and practices are helpful for those struggling with self-critical thoughts, perfectionism/people pleasing and feelings of isolation. Unfortunately, these are three common characteristics people of all ages exhibit in today’s high-pressured competitive society.
I will help you uncover happiness & find self-compassion by helping you discover:
- Self-kindness to replace self-criticism
- Mindfulness to replace denying or over-identifying with problems
- A sense of common humanity to replace isolating yourself
Together we’ll engage in conversations that encourage a healthier narrative and will lead you on a more well lit path. During this journey we’ll explore other creative outlets that will integrate what you are learning in enjoyable and empowering ways. Depending on your comfort level, interests and openness, we can explore through journaling and/or art journaling, mindful meditation and more.
